Last weekend (4th & 5th of May) was the weekend Lotte should have had her puppies if the mating had been successful. As she is very affected by the hormones of a pseudo pregnancy (quite common after a mating) we are trying to give her some distraction and a purpose to get her mind off jumping her mother and bothering her brother. In training she is of course rather unfocused at the moment due to hormones so my patience is needed. It was a spur of a moment decision to enter her for the working test – hoping for it to provide us with some distraction of the somewhat emotional date this weekend. That mission has succeeded and Lotte and I had a nice day out working. WFRG had designed some really nice and variated tests and the weather was really nice.

Lotte surprisingly managed to focus enough to bring all dummies home – however she did have some very creative solutions to how the dummies were retrieved. It proves to me even more how big the impact of hormones are to behavior and mental abilities.

Lotte obtained a modest working test B1 certificate of 76 points. Not bad considering her somewhat incalculable state of mind at the end of a pseudo pregnancy.
