Happy birthday Rumi

Today we are celebrating the 9th birthday of our Rumi (Flow of Spirits Silver Skipper).

Rumi is in early pension as her old injuries and arthritis is weighing her down. Therefore I chose to stop training at high level and left the competitive arena in time. This saves her the energy to still join me hunting when the surroundings are suitable. She loves to be out hunting especially now she “has her own gun”.

Her birthday present was a morning hunt on geese. Unfortunately her staff had difficulty aiming right so no retrieves to do – but a nice morning in the fields counting hare and seagulls did satisfy my beautiful veteran. We hope for many more healthy years together.

Happy 9th birthday Rumi 🥳

6 weeks old Beast litter

Here are some of our favorite photos from the now 6 weeks old puppies. They have all had their blood work done for checking if they are protected with mom’s antibodies from birth and all were good for at least the next 4 weeks. As a breeder however I have decided to have them bloodtested earlier than recommended as the puppies then can have the tests done at our home in a safe environment. Otherwise they would need to have them done shortly after leaving their mom and siblings at a point where they have not yet build a secure bond with their new owners.

Here are some pictures from the past week:

4th week of the Flatastic Beast litter

All pups are still thriving and growing well. They have started to play with eachother and with us. Mostly it involves biting and attacking, but luckily they do also still cuddle with me.

Here are some lovely photos taken by Arista Fotografie:

Flatastic Beast litter 3rd week

All puppies are doing well – Lotte had a bit of an energy collaps as eating all the pooh from 8 puppies had upset her stomach. This resulted in us deciding to start offering the small ones solid food a bit earlier than anticipated. They love their new food and by doing so Lotte had some more space to recover. She is now back in full service shape.

We are very busy providing the first stimili in order for the pups to obtain socialization. This week we have introduced tactical surfaces such as toilet gravel and a silicone mat. Alongside that the first scent of game has been introduced as well.

Here are some photos of the past week:

Pink puppy cloud

The Unicorn has become this litter’s mascot thankfully donated by Lucré Koster from Paradiddles kennel

As we are settling into a new daily routine the smell of small baby puppies and the unbelievable sweet sounds from the birthing box are touching our hearts and souls. I am living out of coffee and oxytocin I believe 😚.

How can I otherwise, look at these sweet pups:

All puppies are thriving and Lotte is eating and drinking like a builder to keep up with the production 🍼
